The 14th International Conference on renewable mobility “Fuels of the Future 2017“ will be held on 23th and 24th January 2017 at the CityCube Berlin. Once again, the organisers expect more than 500 participants including representatives of the automobile production, mineral oil, and chemical industries, of biofuel producers, science and research institutions, as well as international organisations and ministries.
Among many other specialised parallel forums, the thematic field of “Biofuels and Power-to-X“ will be treated e.g. by experts on day two of the conference.
Arne Gröngröft (German Biomass Research Centre) will start giving an overview of the synergies of bioenergy and Power-to-X by providing a specific example, he will demonstrate the possible connections between biomass and power based technologies.
One approach to synergies between existing bioenergy plants and power based syntheses for different products is provided by the use of renewable CO2 from existing bioethanol and biomethane systems; Dr. Oliver Lüdtke (VERBIO AG) will contribute to this topic by giving an assessment based on practical experience.
A possibility to produce fuels out of biogenic C-sources will be introduced by Dr. Daniela Pufky-Heinrich (Fraunhofer Center for Chemical-Biotechnological Processes, CBP).
Dr. Ralph-Uwe Dietrich (German Aerospace Center, DLR) will present the results of a technical and economic analysis of exploiting synergies from Power and Biomass-to-Liquid (PBTL).
Finally, the issue of CO2-intensity, efficency and economy of fuels based on power compared with those based on biomass will be treated by Dr. Christian Bergins (Mitsubishi Hitachi Power Systems Europe).
Take the opportunity and listen to lectures on cutting-edge topics, get in touch with international conference participants, and check the exhibition area for technological innovations or company presentations. Furthermore, companies are invited to present themselves to conference participants at the exhibitor forum. Please refer to the “Invitation to sponsors” for more information.
