Vice President biofuels value chain, BP Europe SE
As Vice President biofuels value chain Niels is responsible for the biofuels business in bp’s customer & products group. He drives bp’s biofuels strategy, develops bp’s regulatory positions and is responsible for the financial delivery of the biofuels agenda globally, with a specific focus on Europe and the Americas.
Niels has more than 20 years of industry experience. He has worked in the value chain in various roles, reaching from retail to supply and trading, and prior to his current role managed bp’s supply business in Northwest Europe. He has worked more than 10 years in commercial leadership roles in bp.
Niels holds a diploma as an industrial engineer from Nordakademie Hochschule der Wirtschaft, Elmshorn in Germany.

Dr Marko Babic is the Head of Product Area at Bosch, the Germany-based multinational engineering and technology company. He joined Bosch in 2007 and has a doctorate in communications engineering and IT and a parallel diploma in economics and business engineering. In his current role, Dr Babic is responsible for development and sales of ambient air quality solutions and digital fuel twin platform, based on Bosch deep domain expertise in sensors, modelling, simulation, as well as IoT device and big data management.

Dr Marcus Bollig, born in 1967, has been Managing Director of the German Association of the Automotive Industry (VDA) since May 2022. He is responsible for the "Product and Value Creation" division. After studying mechanical engineering and completing his doctorate at RWTH Aachen University, Dr Bollig, who was born in Bonn, joined BMW AG in 1998. There, Dr Marcus Bollig dedicated himself to drive development, and from 2011 he was initially responsible for the "New Technologies and Electrification" project as Head of Department. In the following years, he headed various other technical areas, such as "Efficient Dynamics", "Complete Vehicle Research" and most recently "Drive Process".
At the VDA, Dr Marcus Bollig uses his vehicle expertise to mediate between the interests of politicians, authorities and manufacturers when defining technical regulations. His technological focus is on the transformation to climate-neutral mobility and digitalisation.

Mr Simon Detscher has been managing partner of revis bioenergy GmbH since 2013.
Before that, he completed a degree in business administration.
He is currently advancing the nordfuel biometh plant project, which will be the largest in Germany.

Dr.-Ing. Ralph-Uwe Dietrich leads the research area Techno Economic Assessment(TEA)at the Institute of Engineering Thermodynamics at the German Aerospace Center (DLR) in Stuttgartsince 2015. He is responsible for the research group on techno economic and ecologic evaluation of alternative fuels for aviation and global transport. He received his PhD in Engineering at the Technical University Clausthal in 2013 as a scientific associateat the Clausthaler Umwelttechnik Institute (CUTEC-Institut GmbH). Before that, he got 15 years of project manager experience at different enterprises (SME and Fortune 500) of the process and automation industry.
