Conclusion of the “Fuels of the Future” conference: Technologies are ready – reliable framework conditions are crucial
Industry welcomes cabinet draft on greenhouse gas quotas and calls for ambitious, holistic fuel strategy The 23rd International Conference “Fuels of the Future 2026 – Turbocharge, Take Off with Renewables” came to a successful close yesterday in Berlin. More than 620 experts from politics, business, science, and associations took advantage of the two-day event to discuss the role of renewable fuels in climate-neutral mobility and to identify specific actions needed to ramp up the market.

On January 19 and 20, more than 70 speakers will discuss measures for achieving climate protection goals in transportation at the 23rd international conference on renewable mobility, “Fuels of the Future 2026“. The presentations and discussion panels will focus on the innovative use and technical development of renewable fuels in the mobility sector.

GHG quota in transport: bioenergy sector calls for targeted improvements in the parliamentary process
Ahead of the 23rd International Conference on Renewable Mobility, Marlene Mortler, Chairwoman of the Board of the German Bioenergy Association (Bundesverband Bioenergie e.V., BBE), presented the current challenges and concerns of the biofuel sector. The focus is on the draft bill recently adopted by the Federal Cabinet to further develop the greenhouse gas (GHG) reduction quota in transport, which is intended to transpose the Renewable Energy Directive RED III into national law.
